The Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee
(Japan) was founded by a group of independent economists and law
experts. Its principal purposes are to aid in the development of sound
public policies on financial regulatory issues. This committee is
cooperating with U.S. and European Shadow Financial Regulatory
Committees. The committee acknowledges the financial support from Tokyo
