About This Event

This is the second in a series of AEI conferences aimed at increasing the level of understanding of the role of hedge funds in global capital markets.

Hedge funds have now become a major component of financial markets. Their customer base has expanded from a small number of very rich individuals to include large retail and institutional investors, and they now invest in nearly all areas of capital markets. Two major questions now arise: How do hedge funds differ from other money management firms? And should hedge funds be regulated? These and other questions will be discussed by a panel of Wall Street practitioners and academic experts.
