About This Event

Online registration for this event is closed. Walk-in registrations will be accepted.

The U.S.-Japanese relationship is at a crossroads. New leadership in both countries will be responsible for fulfilling commitments to realign the military alliance, stabilizing an economic crisis that continues to cause domestic uncertainty, and containing political upheaval on the home front.

At this special AEI event, Japan’s ambassador to the United States, Ichiro Fujisaki, will present his outlook on the future of U.S.-Japanese relations. What will be the goals in Asia and beyond? Fujisaki will address this and other questions. AEI president Christopher DeMuth will introduce the ambassador, and AEI resident scholar Michael Auslin will moderate.
