About This Event
Since September 11, U.S. policymakers have debated plans for how to deal with Iraq as part of the war against terrorism. This discussion has been fueled by critical information about the role Saddam Hussein is playing in supporting international terrorist activities and in the development of weapons of mass destruction. The Iraqi National Congress INC)--whose leadership is currently in Washington, D.C. for meetings with members of the executive branch and Congress--is the major opposition group to the current Iraqi government. In this briefing, members of the INC leadership will discuss the importance of lifting restrictions on their use of U.S. funds within Iraq, as well as current and future joint military cooperation against Saddam Hussein's dictatorship.
