About This Event

While the stunning military victory in Iraq is undeniable, questions have been raised about U.S. planning for post-Saddam Iraq. Concerns regarding security arrangements and the economy remain unresolved. What must the United States do to establish rule of law? What groups are working to destabilize Iraq? Why has an interim authority for Iraq been delayed, and how will that affect reconstruction and security?

AEI is pleased to host Senator John Cornyn (R-Tex.) on June 10 to speak on the establishment of the rule of law in Iraq. The senator's speech will be followed by a panel discussion on progress and peril in postwar Iraq.
