Special Black Coffee Briefing on the Future of Iraq
Date: Wednesday, December 17, 2003

About This Event

Saddam Hussein is behind bars, but what of administering justice? The Iraqi Governing Council has decreed that Iraqi war criminals will be tried by an Iraqi tribunal. But who will gather the evidence? Who will judge? And is Iraq ready for the complex, demanding process required to judge one of the greatest dictators of the 20th century?

Please join AEI and Kanan Makiya, Hassan Mneimneh, and Neil Kritz to discuss justice for Saddam and Iraqi war crimes tribunals. Please note that this briefing will be followed by a conference on "Civil Liberties and the War on Terrorism," hosted by AEI visiting scholar John Yoo.
