About This Event

Professor Deepak Lal argues in his talk that imperialism should not have been perceived as a negative phenomenon as empires have provided international order and promoted prosperity by integrating separate areas into a common economic space. Lal evaluates the record of the United States as the unchallenged global super power and will analyze the impact of U.S. "imperial actions" on globalization and international stability.
