About This Event

The audiovisual service sector (movies, television, radio) presents some of the most difficult and complex issues for WTO trade negotiators as they attempt to achieve greater trade liberalization in the Doha Round of multilateral negotiations. As part of its Trade in Services project, AEI commissioned two leading experts on the sector and on the WTO negotiations, Patrick A. Messerlin and Stephen E. Siwek, to analyze the issues and present recommendations for a successful negotiation. They will present their findings at this seminar, which will also include comments from three outside panelists who represent varied views on possible outcomes in the audiovisual negotiations.
