While from Washington, DC, the Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee has been tracking the progress of financial regulation in America, shadow financial committees around the world have been following regional developments. For this event, committees from Asia, Japan, Europe, Latin America and Australia will gather in Washington, DC, to discuss the impact of the financial crisis on countries in these regions, relevant lessons and policies to adopt. At the public symposium, representatives from each committee will discuss their chapter of an academic publication expected to be released later this year.
