The Defending Defense Coalition brings together the American Enterprise Institute, the Heritage Foundation and the Foreign Policy Initiative to promote a sound understanding of the U.S. defense budget and the resource requirements necessary to sustain America's preeminent military position in a dangerous world. This event will examine the release of President Obama’s new defense strategy, the culmination of the Pentagon’s review of “America’s missions, capabilities and our role in a changing world.” While the strategy’s details are still to be fully fleshed out, please join us to examine the soundness and prudence of its principles and broad outlines.
