How would George W. Bush govern in the foreign policy arena? How would he structure his foreign policy team, work with Congress, allies and adversaries, and prioritize initiatives? How did he handle Texas-Mexico relations.
Find out from the people who serve with him in Texas, advise him on foreign policy and cover him.
E. J. Dionne and David Brooks will ask questions of a panel of close associates of the candidate, officials of both parties who have worked closely with the candidate, and reporters who have covered the candidates in the area of foreign policy. Questions will cover the candidates' overall governing philosophy, management style, and past experiences in governing in foreign policy.
This event is part of a series begun in January by the Transition to Governing Project to investigate how the candidates would govern in office. Norman J. Ornstein of AEI and Thomas E. Mann of Brookings direct the project.
