Location:  Wohlstetter Conference Center, Twelfth Floor, AEI

Directions to AEI
  • How satisfied are Americans with their jobs?
  • What gives people the most satisfaction at work?
  • How serious is job stress?
  • How much time do people spend on chores?
  • Who does what kind of work at home?
  • How much leisure time do we have?
  • Is leisure being redefined?

Karlyn H. Bowman, resident fellow at AEI, will address these questions. She will release and discuss a unique compilation of attitudinal data on work and leisure from major survey organizations such as Gallup, Harris, and Roper Starch Worldwide. The data are being brought together for the first time to provide a comprehensive look at attitudes about work and leisure.
