Directions to AEI
Over the past several years, Argentina has gone from a model of economic growth and stability to a catastrophe likened by some observers to Indonesia in 1997. Argentina’s sovereign debt default, the termination of its currency board, and the closure of its banking system would have been viewed as highly unlikely events four years ago.  Panelists at this event will explore what went wrong. They will also consider Argentina’s prospects for the future and discuss lessons for other emerging market countries.
