Directions to AEI

The fighting has come to Baghdad, and planning has begun for post-Saddam Iraq. Some, however, continue to try to exclude the Iraqi opposition from any post-Saddam authority. What should the role of the opposition be? How will Iraqis coming out from under decades of Baathist tyranny fit in? Or will the United States form the bulk of the immediate post-Saddam government? As these questions and others percolate, how do Americans see the war? Has public opinion changed? Timely analysis of the rapidly advancing military campaign and planning efforts for the post-war environment will be essential for understanding events as they unfold, as well as making the necessary policy decisions.

A military briefing precedes the 9:00-10:00 a.m. briefing on Tuesday morning. Please join us at 8:30 a.m. on April 8 for analysis of military actions in Iraq, hard-hitting analysis, thoughtful criticism, and free-flowing strong black coffee.
