Employee stock options are commonly included in long-term executive compensation plans. As the use of options has increased in importance, debate has heated up over the proper accounting treatment. Should they be included as a normal business expense in earnings calculations? Is it possible to put a value on these options, many of which have special properties not shared by publicly traded options? At this conference, a panel of leading financial experts will discuss these issues, and the likely impact of impending reporting changes on equity markets.
