Saddam Hussein is gone, but dozens of dictators still terrorize their own people and threaten the world's democracies. These tyrants bear responsibility for driving their nations to poverty, famine, and despair; they cause waves of refugees; they order the deaths of innocents. Dictatorships are a root cause of terrorism and unrest, but our diplomats and politicians rarely speak openly about toppling them. Ambassador Mark Palmer has devised a plan for ousting the last of the world's dictators by 2025. Senator Sam Brownback (R-Kans.), Romania's Ambassador Sorin Ducaru and AEI's Michael A. Ledeen will comment.
