In his new book, Letters to a Young Conservative (Basic Books, 2002), Dinesh D'Souza discusses the differences between modern-day liberalism and conservatism through topics that include multiculturalism, affirmative action, and feminism. He draws upon his own experiences and examines enduring themes he suggests anchor the conservative position: a philosophy based on natural rights and a belief in universal moral truths. He also highlights creative approaches to help foster better intellectual debate. |
