End:  Thursday, July 31, 2008  10:00 AM
Location:  Wohlstetter Conference Center, Twelfth Floor, AEI

Directions to AEI

As the election campaign accelerates and both parties gear up for their political conventions, AEI’s Election Watch team will provide a convention preview–what themes might serve to unite each party, how the media will respond to the spectacle, and what we know about the postconvention bounce. Panelists will also discuss the campaign strategies of both candidates. Can Barack Obama remake the electoral map? Can John McCain frame the election in terms of experience and duty? And how might various vice presidential picks–including the possibility of a cross-party nomination–shake up the race? Also on the agenda: the issues; the national mood; congressional, gubernatorial, and statehouse contests; and much more.

The charge for this session is $60.

Accredited media should register by e-mailing vrodman@aei.org.
