In case you missed it, in a recent op-ed, American Enterprise Institute (AEI) president Arthur Brooks highlights the growing consensus that stimulus spending has a minimal and short-lived effect on the economy.

Brooks stresses that the solution to our country's financial woes is not government, but more economic freedom. In fact, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney mentioned Arthur Brooks and the need for economic freedom in his speech yesterday at the Clinton Global Initiative. Watch here:
