    So to take your analysis one or two steps down the road , the result will be a Cuban style police state supporting itself with drug money and substantial , if reduced, oil export revenues . And a large percentage of those exports will be to the US where our Gulf Coast refineries are uniquely designed to process the high sulfur heavy crude that V produces . The US could walk away from Cuba 50 years ago because there was and is plenty of sugar around . But will the US be ‘ forced’ to deal with , that is to prop up ,a violent and otherwise failed police state to source oil imports ?
