Review excerpt:

Sommers is outraged at the peddlers of boy-crisis, like William Pollack (especially him), but her anger leads her to proclaim a crisis of her own, in which sensitizing feminists like Pollack have ruined boyhood. Boys are under siege, Sommers tells us. They are the victims of a "national climate of prejudice" against them; "if we continue on our present course, boys will, indeed, be tomorrow's second sex."

Christina Hoff Sommers is a resident scholar at AEI.
