About AEI's Political Corner

AEI's Political Corner is Karlyn Bowman, John C. Fortier, Norman J. Ornstein, and Michael Barone.

The Future of Red, Blue, and Purple America is a joint project of the American Enterprise Institute and Brookings Institution that focuses on the impact of demographic and geographic change on the 2008 elections and beyond. Last year, leading demographers, political scientists, and analysts examined the electoral impact of generational changes, alterations in class and family structure, minority voting patterns, changing urban-suburban mix, and shifts in religious belief. AEI and Brookings will host a joint-conference on June 12 at AEI to discuss the results of the election and what to expect in 2010 and 2012.  Selected papers from the Brookings Institution Press book and presentations as well as audio, video, and summary files from the conference held at AEI on February 28, 2008 are available here.
