NAI, in cooperation with the Institut Français des Relations Internationales (IFRI), held a conference at the Chateau Hotel Mont Royal in La Chappelle en Serval, France. The conference, entitled The Transatlantic Community and Post Cold War Challenges: Where Do We Disagree and Why?, brought delegates together from many areas of the international community in order to share and discuss ideas about present Transatlantic issues, and possible challenges in the future.

The conference was organized by Dr. Jeffrey Gedmin of NAI and Dr. Pierre Jacquet, deputy director of IFRI. Edouard Balladur, former prime minister of France opened the conference.
