Radek Sikorski has left AEI to assume a four-year term as senator of Poland, representing the Law and Justice Party in parliament. While at AEI, Sikorski served as executive director of the New Atlantic Initiative, an international nonpartisan organization dedicated to revitalizing and expanding the Atlantic community of democracies; studied issues related to Eastern Europe, NATO, missile defense, and Afghanistan; and wrote for AEI's European Outlook series. He previously served as deputy minister of foreign affairs and deputy minister of defense of Poland.
