COVID-19 Tracker
AEI is committed to tracking local, state, and national COVID-19 trends. Please see the maps below for county level predictive risk, testing progress, mitigation strategies, and more. These maps are updated daily by Dr. Scott Gottlieb and his research assistant.
CV19 Lab Testing Dashboard
Local insights are more critical than ever with mitigation measures easing around the country. A view of the current COVID-19 risk is vital for understanding what is changing in our communities.
The CV19 Lab Testing DashboardTM powered by hc1 provides county-level insight into COVID infection risk, based on positivity rates from viral testing. The Local Risk Index (LRI) represents the prevalence of rising or falling COVID-19 infection in communities by evaluating the changes in near-real-time lab tests results. A higher LRI is an indication of an increased incidence of disease, while an LRI of one or below suggests that a county is moving toward containing the virus. More information about the underlying data and the user guide are available here.
If you’re a policymaker in Washington or making health care decisions on Main Street, you may register at CV19dashboard.org for additional county-level trends, demographic analysis, and the side-by-side view of both viral and antibody test results for COVID-19.
State Mitigation Strategies
How you can help: PPE
As the need for crucial personal protective equipment (PPE) and other equipment grows, some states are making it easy to connect state needs to industries and individuals who want to help. We have added a module to our tracker (see the tab “How you can help”) to get you guidance and instruction for how and what to do per state. Please let us know if you have any additions!
How you can help: Convalescent blood plasma
Patients who have recovered from COVID-19 may be eligible to donate blood plasma to those fighting the disease. Please find a list of organization or networks below to get connected:
