Banter #218: Gerard Robinson and Elizabeth English on criminal justice reform
We’re joined this week by AEI resident fellow in education policy studies Gerard Robinson and AEI education policy studies research assistant Elizabeth English. AEI recently cohosted an event with the White House and the Brennan Center for Justice to mark the release of a paper by the White House Council of Economic Advisers assessing the economic consequences of incarceration and criminal justice in the United States. Gerard and Elizabeth describe several back-end criminal justice reforms that can make reentry into society smoother for the formerly incarcerated and reduce recidivism.
