Sensitivity to Somalia’s nationalist feelings is no reason to actively waste American taxpayers, undermine America’s fight against terrorism, weaken America’s position vis-à-vis global rivals, smother the Horn of Africa’s most promising democracy, and now insult key US allies like Great Britain.
