Weifeng Zhong is a research fellow in economic policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where he researches issues in macroeconomics and political economy. Before joining AEI, he was a research and teaching assistant at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Zhong pursued his undergraduate studies at Shantou University in China where he was awarded a BBA degree. He holds MEcon and MPhil degrees in economics from the University of Hong Kong, as well as an MSc and a PhD in managerial economics and strategy from Northwestern University.
